Services Provided: The Children's Neurodevelopment Center (CNDC) at Hasbro Children's Hospital provides evaluation and treatment of children with neurological, genetic, developmental, metabolic and behavioral disorders. The center incorporates multidisciplinary care with pediatric urology, orthopedics, neurosurgery and craniofacial programs.



The center is located on Prairie Avenue, in an area designed to be particularly spacious, comfortable and welcoming to children and their parents, who are essential partners in their children's care.

Services Provided: CNDC ACT Clinic Assessment, Clinical Triage and Treatment
Clinical Psychologists provide assessment and follow-up
• assessment of the child and family.
• identifies needs and concerns of the child/family
• review of past and current services/assessments performed by schools, therapists, and other direct service providers
• development of a written plan of care for the child with family participation
• recommendations for and referrals to community services
• communication with the Primary Care Physician

Recommendations for service may include further evaluation at the CNDC, and/or referrals to clinicians/programs outside of our center. Referrals for psychological intervention at the CNDC focus on the support of the child and family with medical and behavioral needs.
As is appropriate, families will be given the option to join our CEDAR program for ongoing support and care management service.

Parnell Child Neuropsychology provides comprehensive evaluations to answer questions about why a child is struggling academically, socially, and/or emotionally and to provide recommendations for improving functioning at home, at school, and in the community.

Dr. Kathleen Parnell has been conducting neuropsychological evaluations for over 20 years. Her assessments are enriched by her extensive prior background as a teacher in both regular and special education settings. Specializations include ADHD and learning disabilities, with extensive testing for dyslexia and other reading difficulties available.
