Services

The staff at the Pediatric Heart Center consists of qualified, board-certified physicians, nurses, medical assistants, technicians, a nutritionist, and other support personnel, all working together to care for each patient. They are highly experienced and dedicated to caring for children with heart problems. The Pediatric Heart Center offers cardiac testing for infants, children, and teenagers.

Multiple locations

The Pediatric Heart Center offers a clinic for the evaluation and treatment of patients who have hyperlipidemia. Our lipid clinic takes a multidisciplinary approach to management and understands the central role of partnering with the family when designing individual treatment plans. All the clinic's services are available at one convenient location.

The focus of the Lipid Clinic is inherited (familial) hyperlipidemia. We have an experienced nutritionist and exercise physiologist on our team to provide nutrition and exercise prescriptions for each patient. There is also an on-site laboratory for blood work, when necessary.

Pediatric cardiologists James Ziegler, MD, and Sara Ford, MD, collaborate with Pediatric Heart Center staff to accommodate families and design individual treatment plans for each patient.

Lloyd R. Feit, MD, is director of the Pediatric Heart Center at Hasbro Children's Hospital and an associate professor of pediatrics at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
Dr. Feit is the founder and medical director of Gabrielle’s Heart Camp, established in 2011. The overnight camp’s mission is to allow kids with CHD to have a fun experience while learning basics about their cardiac condition. At camp, patients learn self-efficacy skills that will help realize their individual potential as they manage a lifetime with congenital heart disease.

Kathleen Rotondo, MD joined the staff at Hasbro Children's Hospital in 2003 and is associate professor of pediatrics (clinical) at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Her interests include all aspects of general pediatric cardiology, cardiomyopathies, and resident and medical student education. She is board certified in pediatric cardiology.

James Zeigler, MD joined the pediatric cardiology division at Hasbro Children's Hospital in 1995 and was director of the division from 2001 through 2010. He is board certified in pediatric cardiology and board eligible in general pediatrics and pediatric intensive care.

Dr. Goudie is a general outpatient cardiologist with additional focus on noninvasive imaging and exercise physiology. He is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology. He is an assistant professor of pediatrics (clinical) at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and serves on the board of the Southern New England chapter of the American Heart Association.
