The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is dedicated to providing “a different kind of healing” to seriously ill children and their families throughout the Northeast, free of charge. It’s a community that celebrates the fun, friendship and spirit of childhood, where every kid can “raise a little hell.”

Camp JORI, on 75 pristine acres in Wakefield, Rhode Island, is a co-ed Jewish overnight and day camp for children in grades K-10. Our comprehensive program of sports, arts, adventure and special activities is enhanced by our Jewish and Israeli culture and our strong sense of “TACEO”- Taking Care of Each Other.

Reaching Up (ages 11-14) is an inclusive program for both Day and Overnight campers that makes JORI accessible for all children.

Campers who may require some additional support in cognitive skills or social-emotional coaching will have that extra staff attention. Through the camp experience, the camper will expand language and communications, improve social skills, develop friendships, and expand self-awareness. The program has credentialed adult professionals and our counselors are trained and well-supervised in a supported camp environment.

Since its beginning in 1937 as the summer program of the Jewish Orphanage of Rhode Island (JORI), campers have enjoyed summers in a nurturing, family-like environment.

Camp JORI sits on over 72 acres of pristine woodland, on the largest lake in Rhode Island with an exceptional waterfront for boating and fishing.  The site is surrounded by Nature Conservancy protected land. The mission of the Camp Surefire Foundation is to support and manage Camp Surefire, Rhode Island’s only camp for children with type I diabetes; to create a community of learning about diabetes between campers and their peers, counselors, and medical staff; and to promote the development of life-long skills and relationships which will minimize the impact of diabetes on participants’ lives.

The Camp WANNAGOAGAIN! program is designed to provide opportunities for real-life experiences, an environment to learn new leisure skills, and the chance to meet new friends in a structured environment with experienced staff.

Aspire, a MassGeneral Hospital Program, specializes in helping children, teens and adults on the autism spectrum achieve success. Our programming is uniquely designed to help participants with Asperger profiles develop positive self-awareness, stress management and social competency skills so they can succeed at home, school, work and in community settings.

Staff create a safe and supportive environment in which campers can learn, grow, make social connections, express themselves, feel successful and have fun.

The all-inclusive fee of $25 covers: 5 days/4 nights lodging and food, team-building, action planning, Project Adventure, workshops, talent show, general sessions, dance, process groups, and optional activities such as swimming, athletics, crafts, and more. Scholarships are available.

Mission and Focus: Rhode Island Teen Institute (RITI) is a statewide leadership and prevention program that targets high school-aged peer leaders, whether traditional or nontraditional, from a broad range of community settings, training them in individual and community advocacy, decision-making, and interpersonal and leadership skill development. RITI reinforces leaders’ commitment to a healthy lifestyle and organizes their peers to advocate for prevention in their communities. Teen Institute does not seek to establish Teen Institute groups in schools and communities, but encourages participants to join existing youth groups focused on health and substance abuse prevention issues facing youth.

Youth with diabetes, ages 5 through 14, their siblings, and their friends who benefit from hands-on learning experiences in Type 1 diabetes management and support within the fun and welcoming environment of a comprehensive summer camp.

Program activities include games, arts and crafts, nutrition and diabetes education, swimming, and outdoor fun in multiple athletic fields.

Each year the Youth Rally host roughly 150 campers from all over the US and beyond. Campers and counselors alike live with an array of conditions affecting their bowel and/or bladder systems. A nursing team assists campers as needed.

Serves children ages 17 and under, who have been diagnosed with a serious illness, and their families. Campers come from the 11-state region of Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, New Mexico, Kansas, Nebraska, North and South Dakota, Oklahoma, Utah, and Texas. No cost.

Provides traditional camp experiences for children with serious illnesses and their families. Provides week-long camp sessions, several family camps and some special sessions where siblings ages 17 and under are invited to join. See website for up-to-date list of camp sessions.

Ages 10-17 who have limb loss or limb differences.

Provides a free annual camp experience for youth ages 10-17 with limb loss/limb difference.

Provides objective and credible information, advocacy and research for diabetes. Website offers education, legal rights, health insurance, tips for caregivers, etc. Provides camps for children with Type I diabetes and with or at risk of developing Type II diabetes.

Ending neurofibromatosis through research. Patient Engagement program, meaning the inclusion of patient representatives in NF research, and the view that people with NF are not just subjects, but are health care consumers who have a role in managing their care, directing their health outcomes, and accelerating therapies for the entire NF community. A NF Clinic Network by state. Provides a registry for all types of NF (including NF1, NF2, and schwannomatosis).

NF Camp is the annual summer camp of the Children's Tumor Foundation, dedicated to teens and young adults living with neurofibromatosis (NF). For over 20 years we have hosted this week-long experience for teens and young adults ages 12 to 25. NF Camp takes place on the third or fourth week of July (6 nights/6 days) in Salt Lake City, Utah. Teens and young adults ages 12 to 25 living with neurofibromatosis

Provides a camp is for children and teens with Neurofibromatosis (NF), a genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow along various types of nerves. Campers come from all over the United States, Canada, and the world. During these weeks, they are able to interact with others who have the same condition, and learn more about themselves and others while enjoying everything that Camp K has to offer.

NF Camp takes place on the third or fourth week of July (6 nights/6 days) at Camp Kostopulos in Utah. Details and application on Children's Tumor Foundation website.

Young Life is a Christian ministry that reaches out to middle school, high school and college-aged kids in all 50 states.

Some Young Life areas have dedicated programs for students and young adults with disabilities, typically referred to as Young Life Capernaum. Young Life Capernaum gives young people with intellectual and developmental disabilities the chance to experience fun and adventure, to develop fulfilling friendships and to challenge their limits while building self-esteem through club, camp and other exciting activities.

Provides resources, information, and support groups for families and individuals with Urea cycle disorders (UCDs).

UCD Family Camps: Hosts annual camps for families affected by a Urea Cycle Disorder. UCD Family Camps are held in different locations across the US so that all families around the country may have an opportunity to attend. Camps are 100% free of charge to UCD families and siblings (any age). All costs of foods (low-pro), lodging, and shuttling to and from airport to camp site is provided as well.
