Youth Rock Camp: is an intensive one-week day camp offered to youth ages 11-17, where campers of all skill levels have the opportunity to learn guitar, bass, drums, vocals, or other instruments. Campers will also form a band, write an original song, and perform at the final Showcase for friends, family, and fans!

Girls Rock! Rhode Island is a volunteer-based non-profit that uses music creation and critical thinking to foster empowerment, collaborative relationships, and the development of healthy identities in girls and women.

The Steel Yard is a non-profit industrial art center and shared studio located in Providence, RI. We’re an arts maker space and non-traditional craft school offering courses & educational programs in blacksmithing, welding, jewelry, foundry, and ceramics. Depending on the program a student is enrolled in they may pay a subsidized fee, receive a scholarship or get paid to develop new skills.

Each week participants will work on different fundamentals of the game of tennis. Participants will have an opportunity to increase their social skills through taking turns, working in teams, and following instructions.

We will provide rackets and all equipment. Participants should wear athletic clothing and sneakers and bring water. We ask that parents/caregivers be responsible for assisting with any toileting or self-care if necessary.

We offer classes in acro, tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, technique, hip hop, boys hip hop & musical theatre. Classes are for all ages starting at walking age with our “Dance With Me Mommy” through all skill levels to adult.

TLC Performing Arts a NON COMPETITIVE dance studio located in New England, serving all dancers from Rhode Island & Southern Massachusetts.

Players must be free from any physical or medical condition that could cause them to do harm to themselves or to other participants during participation. The minimum equipment required for the program will be skates (single blade hockey skates) and a hockey helmet with face mask. We have historically found that players who have elbow pads, knee pads, hockey pants (with the standard tail-bone pad) tend to get up smiling when they fall – a great motivator for new skaters!

The GPYHA/RI Special Needs Hockey program offers Learn to Skate/Instructional Hockey for children age 4 to young adult with Down Syndrome, Autism, or any other developmental disability.

Ice sessions are held Saturday mornings at Lynch Arena in Pawtucket, RI, starting in late October and ending in March. No previous skating experience is required; enrollment is open throughout the season.

The program is open to any boy or girl who is physically able to play, but would be unable to participate in any other organized program due to his or her developmental disability.

Martial Arts fitness for all ages

When a child has special needs, they struggle with certain things that other kids might find easy. In our martial arts school, they learn in a structured environment that emphasizes self-respect.

All children need exercise but it can sometimes be hard for kids with special needs to keep up on the playing field.

Martial arts instruction focuses on competing with yourself – something that allows kids with special needs to excel on their own terms.

Camp JORI, on 75 pristine acres in Wakefield, Rhode Island, is a co-ed Jewish overnight and day camp for children in grades K-10. Our comprehensive program of sports, arts, adventure and special activities is enhanced by our Jewish and Israeli culture and our strong sense of “TACEO”- Taking Care of Each Other.

Reaching Up (ages 11-14) is an inclusive program for both Day and Overnight campers that makes JORI accessible for all children.

Campers who may require some additional support in cognitive skills or social-emotional coaching will have that extra staff attention. Through the camp experience, the camper will expand language and communications, improve social skills, develop friendships, and expand self-awareness. The program has credentialed adult professionals and our counselors are trained and well-supervised in a supported camp environment.

Since its beginning in 1937 as the summer program of the Jewish Orphanage of Rhode Island (JORI), campers have enjoyed summers in a nurturing, family-like environment.

Camp JORI sits on over 72 acres of pristine woodland, on the largest lake in Rhode Island with an exceptional waterfront for boating and fishing.  The site is surrounded by Nature Conservancy protected land. When you come into camp you are welcomed at the visitor center and then you begin the JORI experience.

Next Stop BROADWAY® is a week-long performing arts program consisting of classes, workshops, and rehearsals focused on classic Broadway shows. Camp Phoenix was established in 2006 through the North Smithfield Recreation Department.

 The camp was created to provide a traditional day long summer camp experience for the children of North Smithfield.  Camp Phoenix has expanded its enrollment capacity to allow for children from all communities to attend the camp. 

We are hoping to make the camp a place where children can create life-long friendships.

Open to all children ages 3-15 in Providence and surrounding areas.

Day camp programs offered through Moses Brown school (RISE, Sports, STEM & Specialty) offered to children ages 3-15. Children enjoy the use of all facilities, including the state-of-the-art artificial turf field, soccer field, softball diamond, woodshop, ceramic studio, computer labs, Y-lab, and performance halls.

The hour-long classes provide a positive atmosphere for the exploration of movement while maintaining a focus on the individual abilities of each child. The Adaptive Dance teaching staff is committed to helping each child develop self-confidence. 

Festival Ballet Providence and Meeting Street School have teamed up to offer an Adaptive Dance Program.

Based on a successful program developed by Boston Children’s Hospital and Boston Ballet, the program is designed to foster a love of dance and creative expression in children with Down Syndrome. Although the primary goal of the program is for the children to experience the joy of dance and music, it also offers other important benefits. These include improvements in coordination, overall fitness, balance, self-esteem, self-expression, teamwork,  rhythm, and musicality.

The mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket is to inspire and enable the young people of Pawtucket and surrounding communities, especially those with greatest need, to realize their full potential as healthy, productive, responsible and caring citizens.

STORYTIME
Fridays, 10:00am and Mondays, 1pm, beginning September 9th
Storytime will be feature songs, books, sensory activities, and/or a craft.  Storytime is designed for ages 1-6, but children of all ages and abilities are welcome at any session! No registration necessary.

Are you a high school student who loves theater? If so, you can learn about professional theater and see shows for FREE — plus earn community service hours. It's easy and fun! For details, click the link below

Gammbassadors must be aged 16-18 and willing to fulfill the same roles as any other usher: scanning tickets, directing patrons in the lobby and the theater, stuffing and/or passing out programs, seating patrons, and answering patron's questions.

In return, you have the option to earn community service hours and see Gamm productions for free!

Ballet For All Kids is a non-profit program that teaches classical ballet and other dance styles using The Schlachte Method - a certified curriculum developed to accommodate all abilities, body types, and learning styles.

Since 1979, Horizons Summer Camp has been a breath of fresh air for campers and their families. Offered for eight weeks each summer, our camp provides campers opportunities to explore activities such as Swimming, Arts, Camp Crafts, Health and Fitness, Performing Arts, Pioneering, Science, Music, Language Arts and Physical Education and more with the help of engaging and well-trained instructors. Campers and counselors bunk together in comfortable cabins.

Horizons' mission is to create and sustain person-centered opportunities for people with developmental disabilities where they live, learn, work and play.

We provide drum group services to a variety of populations (children, adults, seniors) in their choice of setting in order to improve the quality of their lives.

John Belisle (MA-Counseling Psychology/BA-Psychology) has been caring for abused and neglected children as a clinical therapist for over 20 years. He has been providing individual, family and group counseling to severely traumatized children in a variety of settings.  He has developed a form of music therapy (Drum Groups) to help both children and adolescents heal their body, mind and spirit.  He has also utilized drum groups as a recreational/educational tool for children in schools, day cares, and residential treatment centers.

​Reach for the Stars Hot Air Balloon Foundation is a non-profit corporation with unique, easy-entry custom baskets allow people with limited mobility, as well as wheelchair users, to experience a tethered ride or a traditional flight. They offer a wide range of services including traditional flights, tethered flights, educational booths and programs, nights glows, static inflations and walk-in events. The foundation seeks to have the balloon experience available to community events, camps, balloon festivals, organizations and corporations as well as to individuals wanting a private flight.

Any child between the ages of 5 and 17 with any disability may participate.

Provides fishing outings for children with special health care needs.
