Arts/Music Therapies

Hands in Harmony is a local 501(C) nonprofit organization that practices evidenced-based, replicable interventions, grounded in research. Our Music Therapists provide neurologic music therapy services to those suffering from complex medical conditions (cognitive, social, communicative, behavioral, psychological, sensory-motor, and physical) or deficiencies, as well as to the families and caretakers that support them.

Our Neurologic Music Therapists are board-certified, licensed through the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) and hold additional certifications in Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT). We provide virtual, telehealth and in-person services for groups, individuals and families/caregivers. 

Hands in Harmony helps all people reach their true potential using proven music therapy interventions grounded in neuroscience to overcome a range of physical and psychological problems. Hands in Harmony’s model is grounded in local research and ensures effectiveness and integrated collaboration that broadens services and client impact.

Our team is comprised of highly qualified licensed music therapists and other highly qualified professionals.

The mission of United Cerebral Palsy of Rhode Island is to advance the independence, productivity and full citizenship of individuals with cerebral palsy and other disabilities.

As the local affiliate of United Cerebral Palsy (UCP), our organization educates, advocates and provides support services to ensure a life without limits for people with cerebral palsy and other disabilities throughout of all of Rhode Island.
