Ocean Tides Narragansett School, our main campus, is a residential school for boys, grades 7-12.

The Narragansett Campus offers Career/Technical education in areas such as: Culinary Arts, Carpentry/Building Maintenance, Landscape Design, Auto Detailing, Cosmetology, Horticulture, Small Engines, Woodturning, and Woodworking, Auto CAD, HTML-Web Page Design, and Video Production.

Ocean Tides is partnered with the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) for the areas of Engineering and Technology.

Ocean Tides is Lasallian school and residential program that is committed to providing a challenging, safe and healthy learning environment designed to meet the social, emotional, behavioral, and intellectual needs of each individual.

Students can be referred to the campus school by Local Education Agencies to attend as a day student, if they meet special education criteria.

Students are also enrolled through the St. Mary’s residential program.

We provide highly structured, individualized instruction and therapeutic services to students with learning, social, emotional, and behavioral challenges in our George N. Hunt Campus School. Since 1877, St. Mary’s has been caring for Rhode Island’s children. We are a non-profit agency offering comprehensive treatment programs for boys and girls traumatized by abuse or experiencing the challenges of psychiatric disorders. Children are treated and cared for in the residential, educational and out-patient programs located in North Providence, Rhode Island.

Our major programs are the Children's and Adolescent Program, Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities, Outpatient Program and the Bradley School.

Children's and Adolescent outpatient services. A multidisciplinary staff of board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses and qualified trainees provides treatment using a variety of modalities including individual, group and family therapy, and psychopharmacologic management.

The Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities CADD offers unique and highly specialized clinical services for children and adolescents between the ages of 2 and 18 who show signs of serious emotional and behavioral problems in addition to a developmental disability, such as autism, Asperger's or intellectual disability.

Ages 12-17, who suffer from serious emotional and behavioral disturbances, substance use and associated problems, or co-occurring disorders and are in need of short-term stabilization, assessment and treatment for suicidal, aggressive or other unsafe behaviors.

Teens and the caregivers participating in the Bradley Center’s residential program receive comprehensive assessment and treatment aimed at stabilizing acute symptoms and promoting engagement in less intensive levels of care. Patients receive evidence-based care that includes cognitive behavioral therapy skills, motivation enhancement, and prevention planning.

Complementing formal therapy, expressive therapy such as art activities, dance and yoga is provided.

The co-ed program is designed to be a step-down program from hospitalization or an alternative to a hospital stay. We are licensed by the Department of Children, Youth and Families and the Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals. 

Eleanor Slater Hospital (EHS) is operated by the State of Rhode Island's Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities, & Hospitals (BHDDH). ESH treats patients with acute and long-term medical illnesses and patient's with mental health conditions.
