Pediatric Low Vision Services
Children age birth to three years old are generally referred to this service through their early intervention case coordinator. Children over the age of three are generally referred to the program through their caseworker at Rhode Island State Services for the Blind.

INSIGHT Radio is a unique radio reading service that provides the daily reading of local and national newspapers, magazines, books, and other printed materials of interest to our listeners. We currently broadcast twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week.

Vision Therapy At The Brown Center
As behavioral optometrists we feel that, in many instances, we are able to make a major impact in the course of a child’s development. It is our passion for influencing the relationship between learning and vision that fuels our commitment to all of our pediatric patients. Our Vision Therapy sessions, including Orthoptics (Vision Rehabilitation) and visual perceptual development are scheduled weekly through most of the school year.

This is why we use the most modern equipment to provide you and your eyes with the most extensive exam you’ve ever experienced while we search for any potential problems or warning signs. Not only does this guarantee a perfect prescription, it guards your eyes and body from any disease that could harm your sight and overall health.

The PCHC Optometry Clinic offers high quality eye care services to all members of the Providence community.

• Comprehensive eye exams for health and vision problems

A public service program of the American Academy of Ophthalmology providing eye care through volunteer ophthalmologists (Eye M.D.) at no cost to those who qualify. A comprehensive medical eye exam is provided and care for anything diagnosed at the initial visit for up to one year at no out-of-pocket cost for the physician's services.COVID-19 UPDATE: Providing urgent care related to the pandemic at this time and temporarily unable to provide new referrals for programs. National Eye Institute is the principal agency for conducting and supporting vision research aimed at improving the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of diseases that affect the eye and vision.

Provides gift certificates, through a network of community partners, lto children in need to receive no-cost eye care and glasses from a local doctor.
