First Connections
First Connections at Children’s Friend provides free, voluntary, confidential home visits in Central Falls, Cranston, Pawtucket and Providence to pregnant women and families with young children, birth to age three.
Healthy Families America

Healthy Families America is a national evidence-based maternal and child home visiting program that provides free, voluntary, confidential services. The program pairs expectant mothers or families with newborns with a Family Support Worker, who provides home visiting services to the family and their child until the child’s fourth birthday.

Nurse Family Partnership

Nurse-Family Partnership is a national evidence-based maternal and child home visiting program that provides free, voluntary, confidential services to expectant first-time mothers and then their newborns. The program pairs expectant mothers with a registered nurse, who provides intensive home visiting services to the mother and her child until the child’s second birthday.

Imagine Preschool is an inclusive preschool for children four to five years-old

The Providence Center believes in the value of early childhood education. Imagine Preschool was established to extend the benefits of quality education to all families.

Imagine Preschool is an inclusive preschool for children three to five years-old. Imagine is a 5-star BrightStars program and has twice been selected as one of eight classrooms in the Rhode Island Pre-Kindergarten program.

A. Child needs to be enrolled in a licensed child care facility (toddler, preschool, or school age, ages 18 months-12 years old), which receives Kids Connect services
B. Any child with special health care needs, such as behavioral, developmental, emotional, or physical needs.
C. Active Medicaid health insurance or is enrolled in Katie Beckett.

• Children enrolled in a TCCS program are in classrooms with a Therapeutic Integration Specialist who is trained and monitored by a licensed Clinician.
• Each TCCS classroom has an additional staff member to provide a lower staff to child ratio.
• Therapeutic classrooms are designed to give all team members the skills and techniques to work with all children.

TCCS is a Kids Connect Program that is regulated by the Executive Office of Health and Human Services.

The Therapeutic Child Care Services (TCCS) program provides the foundation for children to learn, socialize, and play alongside their typically developing peers.

6 weeks to 12 years

Programs for children six weeks through five years old plus before and after school and out of school time for elementary school age children.

Our goal is to nurture a child’s natural desire to learn. We believe that children learn through play. Play includes exploring, talking, thinking, imaging, inventing, giving, sharing, making choices, taking turns, running, skipping, crawling, shouting, singing, role playing, caring, reading, writing, counting, measuring, problem solving, storytelling, laughing and smiling!

CHILD, Inc. is a private non-profit agency providing comprehensive child development and family support services to low and moderate income families residing in Kent County, Rhode Island.

CHILD, Inc. owns and operates four child development facilities. All CHILD, Inc. facilities are licensed for child care by the Rhode Island Department of Education. All facilities are also approved and funded by the Federal Administration for Children and Families. We maintain accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, and participate in Rhode Island’s independent child care rating system BrightStars.

The Therapeutic Child Care Services (TCCS) program provides the foundation for children to learn, socialize, and play alongside their typically developing peers.

Through an inclusive integrated environment, TCCS offers services by trained professionals that meet the needs of all children. TCCS is a Kids Connect program that is regulated by the Executive Office of Health and Human Services in Rhode Island. The TCCS program provides strategies and interventions to support children enrolled in the TCCS program
