The services we offer help make sure everyone can reach their full potential. This may mean solving immediate challenges, like access to food or housing. Or, it may mean getting and staying healthy for life. There’s medical and dental care, behavioral health care, human services and community programs. We help children, youth, families, adults and elders. EBCAP has over 20 services. Our programs focus to improve health, social, and educational outcomes through the strengthening of parent-child relationships, evidence-based curriculum, and skill development.

Our Vision
We envision a state where no one goes hungry.

The Rhode Island Community Food Bank distributes food to people in need through a statewide network of 160 member agencies. These agencies include food pantries, meal sites, shelters, youth programs and senior centers. Each month, 59,000 struggling Rhode Islanders receive food assistance at these agencies. One in three served is a child under the age of 18, and one in five is over the age of 60.

PHU is not just for the homeless and the impoverished, it is for all. Times are tough for everyone and this program is a win-win, as we rescue food that would otherwise go to waste.

Contactless pickup

Project Hand Up (PHU) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that helps people of all walks of life shop for groceries for a suggested donation that helps to stretch their paycheck, so they do not have to chose between eating and paying bills.

Our mission is to support those tackling challenging times with food assistance, no questions asked.

Through USDA's summer meal programs, approved sites in communities across the country can serve meals to kids up to age 18 at no cost. Families can use this tool to find directions to nearby meal sites, as well as their hours of operation and contact information.

Families seeking food assistance for their children can also contact The USDA National Hunger Hotline, operated by Hunger Free America.

Connects 42 million Americans with excess food from their garden and local food pantries. Garden by garden, home & community gardeners and other growers are fighting hunger and malnutrition in America.
