The mission is to help adults, adolescents and children affected by psychiatric illnesses, emotional problems and addictions by providing treatment and supportive services within a community setting.

The Providence Center is also one of Rhode Island's Community Mental Health Centers providing care to adults

The Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology Clinic is the only place in the region that can offer this level of care for females from birth to age 16.

Our team of gynecologists sees females who need evaluation and treatment of such gynecologic issues as:

• Amenorrhea (when there is no menstrual cycle)
• Chronic vaginal discharge
• Congenital anomalies of the reproductive tract
• Heavy or abnormal menstrual bleeding
• Hirsutism
• Labial agglutination
• Ovarian cysts
• Vaginal infections
• Vulvar problems

College Student Intensive Outpatient Program for Young Adults link

College Student Intensive Outpatient Program for Young Adults is designed to meet the specific needs of matriculating college students, age 18 to 26 years old, who are struggling to function in the academic environment due to mood related issues, such as depression and anxiety. 

Connect Intensive Outpatient Program link

Our Connect IOP is a program designed for young adults, ages 18 to 26, who are struggling with mood symptoms, such as depression, anxiety or other mental health concerns, as well as challenges with social functioning.

Founded in 1844, Butler Hospital is the state's only non-profit, free-standing psychiatric hospital providing adults, seniors and adolescents specialized assessment and treatment for all major psychiatric illnesses and substance abuse.

Butler is the major affiliated teaching hospital for psychiatry and behavioral health of The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. It is the flagship hospital for its Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior, which has been recognized by its peers as one of the top ten in the US. Butler is the major training site and the base hospital for the Brown University General Residency in Psychiatry. Many physicians and psychologists at Butler are also part of the Brown Institute for Brain Science and participate in exciting clinical research initiatives with this world-renowned center for neuroscience. A national leader in the development of acute psychiatric and substance abuse treatment, Butler is involved in a variety of research efforts which has earned it a national reputation as a major teaching and research facility.

The Center for Children and Families at Women and Infants provides behavioral health services across developmental stages of the family. The staff in the Center for Children and Families provides integrated care across psychology, psychiatry and clinical social work to support adults and children.  

Developmental stages served include: adult services to support women during the perinatal and postpartum period; family-based mental health services for parents and infants; infant services around sleep and regulatory difficulties; early childhood services with a focus on diagnostic evaluation and child/family therapy; and services to children of a broad age range with autism or a parental concern for autism. 

The Center for Children and Families is closely aligned with the Brown Center For The Study Of Children At Risk. The mission of the Center is to stimulate outstanding interdisciplinary research, education, and clinical services on the biological and social factors that determine the developmental outcome of at-risk children.

Kent Hospital utilizes an interdisciplinary model that involves all members of the healthcare team. Kent Hospital is an affiliate of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNECOM) for medical education.

The Department of Audiology at Women & Infants Hospital offers hearing services for children and adults of all ages. Our team works closely with the Newborn Nursery and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) medical providers to coordinate audiology services for newborns, particularly infants with multiple medical challenges. We work closely with Early Intervention and various school systems to provide quality services for toddlers and school-aged children. We have extensive training and experience in the diagnosis and management of hearing loss resulting from middle ear disease, noise exposure, aging, and many other causes.

Please be advised that this location is a provider-based clinic and both a physician and facility fee will be assessed, which may result in a higher out-of-pocket expense.

The Prenatal Diagnosis Center (PDC) offers you and your partner the option of genetic counseling. Genetic counseling may be helpful to you if you have a known genetic disorder, take medication, if there are diseases that run in your family, or you’ve had a test in your pregnancy that indicates your baby might have a birth defect.
