RIPIN helps Rhode Islanders of all ages and abilities access health care, health insurance coverage, education services and supports, care management, and more.

• Live answer call center Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. After hours calls returned within two business days
• Care coordination and service linkage for families with children with special health care needs
• Help navigating health care and health insurance, including Healthsource RI, Medicaid, Medicare, and more, regardless of your coverage status
• Help accessing and navigating special education
• Help navigating transition to adult services for young adults with special needs
• Support groups for parents and caregivers

RIPIN uses a peer support model, meaning our team of Certified Community Health Workers are themselves parents or caregivers to a loved one with special needs. Our Peer Professionals’ lived experience helps them better understand you and your family’s needs.

Families of children birth to age 21 having 2 or more chronic conditions or have one chronic condition and are at risk of developing a second. Children having a severe mental illness or severe emotional disturbance Medical Assistance Coverage ( Medical Assistance, RIte Care or RIte Share)

A Cedar Family Center is a site that provides evolving, family centered, intensive care management and coordination in order to assist families in reaching their full potential and thrive in their own communities.

Adaptive Yoga

Since 2010, Shri through its studio and non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, Shri Service Corps, has been the only yoga outreach studio and organization in Rhode Island, to serve adults and children with developmental and intellectual disabilities, veterans, children in schools, hospitals and shelters, incarcerated youth and men and women in recovery - every week.

The Rhode Island Department of Health( RIDOH) Youth Advisory Council is a dynamic and inclusive group of young people and mentors that meets monthly from September-June. Nationally recognized as an Emerging Practice by the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs (AMCHP), members learn about public health topics and have the opportunity to provide feedback concerning RIDOH programs that impact youth.

The Council also serves as part of the planning committee for the statewide annual student leadership conference titled, Dare to Dream.
