Our therapeutic health providers accept many major insurance plans in Rhode Island including Blue Cross, United Health, and Neighborhood Health.

South County Child and Family Consultants provides a wide range of psychological services and testing to children, adolescents, and young adults in Rhode Island. We also provide a number of free digital resources for clinicians, pediatricians and parents to help understand common childhood psychological issues, and options for testing and treatment.

Our highly-trained staff of neuropsychologists, psychologists and clinicians have regular office hours Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Center for Children and Families at Women and Infants provides behavioral health services across developmental stages of the family. The staff in the Center for Children and Families provides integrated care across psychology, psychiatry and clinical social work to support adults and children.  

Developmental stages served include: adult services to support women during the perinatal and postpartum period; family-based mental health services for parents and infants; infant services around sleep and regulatory difficulties; early childhood services with a focus on diagnostic evaluation and child/family therapy; and services to children of a broad age range with autism or a parental concern for autism. 

The Center for Children and Families is closely aligned with the Brown Center For The Study Of Children At Risk. The mission of the Center is to stimulate outstanding interdisciplinary research, education, and clinical services on the biological and social factors that determine the developmental outcome of at-risk children.

Children from birth to three years of age who have or may have a disability, are experiencing developmental delay, or are at risk for significant developmental problems. Coverage areas include: Central Falls, Cranston, Cumberland, East Providence, Lincoln, North Providence, Pawtucket, Providence, and Woonsocket.

The Early Intervention program consists of a multidisciplinary team of professionals including, but not limited to, early childhood educators, dieticians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, registered nurses, service coordinators, social workers, special educators, speech and language pathologists.

A child may receive any one or more of these professionals working with them and their family.

A family may also receive additional services outside of the Early Intervention program. Our role is to ensure that a child and family receive any services that will help to support them.
There is no cost to families for Early Intervention services. Services are covered through your child’s medical insurance or through the RI Department of Human Services, which is the state agency that oversees the Early Intervention program.
