Provider Profiles: Sail To Prevail creates opportunities for disabled children and adults to overcome adversity through therapeutic sailing. Each year, Sail To Prevail teaches approximately 1,000 people with disabilities the skills of sailing in our fleet of five specially adapted “Independence 20” sailboats. Our programs strongly encourage disabled individuals to be active participants, steering the boat as well as opportunities to grind winches and trim sails. First-time and experienced sailors are welcome at Sail To Prevail. Our program is available to all people with disabilities and is designed to meet specific needs.
