Child Outreach at South Kingstown

Organization Name: South Kingstown School District
Address: Child Outreach
1157 South Road
Wakefield, RI 02879
Service Categories:
Eligibility: Children ages 3,4 and 5 and residents of the South Kingstown School District
Services Provided: • A free developmental screening by local school districts and overseen by the RI Department of Education.
• Children are screened for general development, vision, hearing, speech and language and social emotional skills.
Provider Profiles: Much like your well child visit with the pediatrician, children should participate in screening annually, at 3, 4 and 5 years old. Because the activities are based upon what is appropriate for your childs age and experiences at the time of screening, each screening provides families with an up-to-date check on their childs status in vision and hearing, and progress in the developmental areas.
Child Outreach can help identify children who may need further assessment, intervention and/or services at an early age in order to prevent the occurrence of more severe problems later.
