Support group for new moms.

Join other new moms and their newborns in a casual, social setting for conversation and education on a variety of topics, including breastfeeding, baby sleeplessness, colic, parental sleep deprivation, postpartum stress, and more. The club is led by a certified childbirth educator and an experienced OB nurse. Certified lactation consultants are also available. The New Moms' Club meets:

A peer breastfeeding support group . Chocolate Milk Cafe fosters health equity in establishing a sacred space for African Americans to breastfeed while receiving evidence based breastfeeding education and support. Certified facilitator, Quatia Osorio.

Chocolate Milk Cafe RI is hosted once a month, on the first Thursday of every month at 199 Camp Street, Providence, RI 02906. Our hours, 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., correspond with the Mt. Hope Neighborhood Association WIC location.

Visiting Nurse Home & Hospice provides home care to mothers with early maternity discharge and postpartum complication.

Home care for infants and children who have had surgery, an injury, or an illness. 

First Connections

First Connections at Visiting Nurse Home & Hospice provides free, voluntary, confidential home visits in Barrington, Bristol, East Providence, Jamestown, Little Compton, Middletown, Newport, Portsmouth, Tiverton and Warren to pregnant women and families with young children, birth to age three.

Palliative Care

Visiting Nurse Home & Hospice is an independent, non-profit home health agency that cares for people of all ages, from mothers and newborns to seniors with chronic illnesses to patients with terminal illnesses at end of life.

Baby Café USA is a non-profit, 501(c), organization that coordinates a network of breastfeeding drop-in centers and other services to support breastfeeding mothers. RI Baby Cafe ~ Olneyville is one of those drop-in support groups.

Our Journ3i is a perinatal community-based wellness organization primarily focused on eliminating disparities of health and identifying social health determinants within infant and maternal health by providing empowering education and services. We seek to provide maternal health equity among communities of color, especially Black/African American families in Rhode Island.

Helping mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information, and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother.

Collects excess breast milk from qualified donors for premature infants.

Breast milk donation is used to make human milk fortifier and standardized human milk from 100% human milk. Both are sold to neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) across the United States for critically ill premature babies who need more protein and calories than are naturally occurring in mother’s milk.

Medela's primary focus is breastfeeding - by helping moms to successfully breastfeed their babies and to do so for as long as they choose. This includes production of breastfeeding equipment as well as training and educational materials.

Products include special devices for breastfeeding cleft lip/palate infants. They also have available, infant scales for measuring breastmilk intake.

They also offer an online support community, Ask the LC, and Breastfeeding University. Also information about insurance coverage for breast pumps.

Medicare and 1,200 private health plans accepted. Insurance coverage and limits are verified by Edgepark staff, which may take up to 4 business days to complete. Once an account is set up, future orders will usually ship within 1-3 business days, as long as there are no changes to account information.
