Recommendations for service may include further evaluation at the CNDC, and/or referrals to clinicians/programs outside of our center. Referrals for psychological intervention at the CNDC focus on the support of the child and family with medical and behavioral needs.
As is appropriate, families will be given the option to join our CEDAR program for ongoing support and care management service.

Angels On Horseback Therapeutic Riding School, Inc. established in 2003 as a non-profit (501)(c)(3) organization, provides equine assisted therapy to children and adults with mentally and physically challenging conditions. Our program provides an environment where humans and animals benefit from each other. AOH is the LONGEST established Therapeutic Riding School in Rhode Island and has the largest facility.Angels On Horseback's therapeutic riding program follows the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association guidelines for accredited educational centers.

Eligibility: a variety of incredible camp programs for children with a serious illness and their families at no cost to the families.
Services Provided: At the core of all of our programming is our signature summer program. Seven glorious week-long sessions in Ashford, Conn. that serve seriously ill children and one additional week dedicated to their healthy siblings. Campers aged 7 – 15 ride horses, create crafts, swim and so much more, as they bond with other children facing similar challenges and learn they are capable of so much more than they ever thought possible.
Running in the fall and spring at our facility in Ashford, weekend programs continue the healing power of Camp beyond the summer months and create a memorable experience for the entire family. Families share in Camp activities and enjoy the company of other families who understand the issues they are facing.

The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is dedicated to providing “a different kind of healing” to seriously ill children and their families, free of charge. Each summer, approximately 1,000 people with disabilities learn the skills of sailing in our fleet of uniquely adapted, 20-foot sailboats. Our programs strongly encourage disabled individuals to be active participants by steering the boat and trimming sails. The measurable outcomes demonstrate increased self-confidence in all parts of their daily lives, the camaraderie of teamwork, and improved leadership skills. Since 1982, Sail To Prevail has improved the lives of tens of thousands of people through therapeutic sailing programs that focus on improving the mind, body and spirit.
