Our mission is to inspire confidence, build skills and empower people who are blind and visually impaired to become fully integrated, equally valued members of society by providing diverse services that produce opportunities and choices.

Pediatric Low Vision Services
Children age birth to three years old are generally referred to this service through their early intervention case coordinator. Children over the age of three are generally referred to the program through their caseworker at Rhode Island State Services for the Blind.

INSIGHT Radio is a unique radio reading service that provides the daily reading of local and national newspapers, magazines, books, and other printed materials of interest to our listeners. We currently broadcast twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week.

Our practice provides services ranging from comprehensive eye exams to complex surgical treatment.

Both locations have full-service optical shops specializing in children's eyewear.

For the safety of our patients, all of our lenses are made of the toughest lens material available, shatter-proof polycarbonate.

Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Associates has been providing specialty-level children's eye care to the children of Rhode Island, southeastern Massachusetts, and northeastern Connecticut since 1993.

He performs strabismus surgery for both pediatric and adult patients with eye misalignments. His practice includes patients with amblyopia, nasolacrimal duct obstruction and retinopathy of prematurity.

Dr. Donahue is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in pediatrics and eye movement disorders. He is a clinical assistant professor at Brown University.

Vision Therapy At The Brown Center
As behavioral optometrists we feel that, in many instances, we are able to make a major impact in the course of a child’s development. It is our passion for influencing the relationship between learning and vision that fuels our commitment to all of our pediatric patients. Our Vision Therapy sessions, including Orthoptics (Vision Rehabilitation) and visual perceptual development are scheduled weekly through most of the school year.
